City of Issaquah Park Ranger Alex Anderson will be leading a hike to celebrate National Public Lands Day on September 27th. Come visit the last Issaquah Farmer’s Market of the season and join a guided hike along Issaquah Creek to explore how public lands benefit people and wildlife.
The hike will focus on the efforts led by City of Issaquah, community partners, and volunteers to conserve and restore riparian and instream habitat along the Pickering Reach of Issaquah Creek. This work supports threatened Chinook salmon populations (which will be returning to Issaquah Creek at this time) and lots of other wildlife! Learn about this vital work and ways you can engage in the ongoing process to steward our public lands.
