The Rails to Trails Conservancy is touring the Great American Rail Trail through Washington this September! Join leaders from the Issaquah Alps Trails Club and the local community to celebrate this historic section of the MTSG heritage area in the Issaquah Alps!
The Great American Rail-Trail® will be the nation’s first cross-country multiuse trail—a route that is entirely bikeable and separated from vehicle traffic across 3,700 miles between Washington State and Washington, D.C. This September, Rails to Trails Conservancy, Washington Bikes, Cascade Bicycle Club, Leafline Trails Coalition and partners across Washington will host an invitation-only tour of the Great American Rail-Trail from Cle Elum to downtown Seattle.

Join the IATC in celebrating the establishment of this trail on September 24th at 10:15AM in Preston.
The tour will kick off with a special celebration on Sept. 23 at 9 a.m. at the South Cle Elum Depot to bring extra attention to the many ways the Palouse to Cascades State Park Trail—and its role as a gateway trail of the Great American Rail Trail—is invaluable to the region’s economy and quality of life.
